"My counselor and I were on the opposite sides of the world throughout the entire application process, but our continuous Skype calls, emailing and document sharing made made my tension about applying to college melt away. My mentor not only helped me with my applications and essays, but she also arranged for another former Admission Officer to do a mock interview with me, which was almost exactly like my real college interviews. I was not only able to learn what universities expect from their applicants, but how I should prepare for upcoming college life. I'm now a freshman at New York University."

“I just wanted to thank you for all the opportunities WIA (Women-in-Action) has given me! I would definitely recommend the WIA program to any young woman interested in feminism. My favorite part of the WIA program was connecting with a summer program counselor and working with her towards attending a program most fitting for me - I will be going to the Athena Leadership program at Barnard. I am currently working on my final WIA project with an amazing author, Dallas Woodburn, to write a short story about the life of an Asian American woman living in the US. My story will be touching on the subjects of intersectionality, racial stereotypes, and of course, feminism. Looking back on all that WIA has given me, I am truly thankful.

"Having our counselor’s help was invaluable. She guided my daughter and our family through everything with a step-by-step plan to tackle the entire college process, and she was always available to answer the countless questions we had along the way. My daughter ended up choosing Georgetown University. Without hesitation, Global Girls Prep should be your daughter's college coach!"

"What I really liked about this tour was our discussion of gender and activism on college campuses. From learning these concepts I now can more deeply analyze modern societal issues, which helps me think deeply and comprehensively about everything! Professors and students shared with us their experience of studying in different regions and schools, and all of these personalized discussions helped me identify options for future study. Our tour’s theme was women’s leadership - not only what it means to become a “leader,” but how to become more confident throughout all aspects of your life."

“WIA is like a window, and through this, I had the chance to learn about feminism, to get to know the groups and people who take action to fight for feminism, and to think about how I can make little changes in my own community. I would also say that WIA helped me to be more confident in many ways, such as being happy with my body. I would recommend WIA to other girls because our living conditions sometimes block us from seeing unfairness in society. But it is very important for every girl to understand the fact that we still need to fight to have a better future for women.”
